Liza Lara

Elizabeth “Liza” Lara began her legal career at the in-house litigation department of a large regional automobile club in St. Louis, Missouri.  The first attorney hired directly out of law school by the automobile club, Liza was soon carrying the highest caseload of any attorney in her office, defending corporate and individual clients in Missouri and Illinois state and federal court, as well as ensuring corporate compliance with the laws of eight different states. After relocating to Northern Virginia, Liza began working with clients in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate and business transactions, employment, bankruptcy and creditor rights law.  Liza has successfully represented clients in both jury and bench trials, as well as in arbitrations and mediations.  Liza’s first chair litigation experience includes obtaining a defense verdict for her client after jury deliberations of less than thirty minutes as well as the defense of clients against multi-million dollar demands.

Raised outside Chicago, Liza graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, with a double degree in French and International Studies.  She received her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she graduated with honors.

Liza has worked with hundreds of clients and navigated courts of all levels across the country.  Given her litigation expertise, clients can rest assured that they will be in excellent hands both before and after suit is filed.
